A series of touch screen phones and walkman phones have started to invade the market as phone makers Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson tries to beat each other up for the top position. Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is a full-touch screen phone and Nokia’s third S60 5th edition handset, following the 5800 XpressMusic and Nokia N97. It sports a 2.9″ 16M color display with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels. A 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, accelerometer sensor and proximity sensor are some its other highlight features. Samsung, on the otherhand, has launched the Samsung Tocco Lite, which is the latest addition to the Tocco family and one that perhaps takes into account the current economic situation. Samsung says the GPRS/EDGE Tocco Lite has “enhanced social media features” and great style for “an ultra competitive mid-range price”. Those enhanced social media features include online widgets for the likes of Facebook and MySpace as well as YouTube access with one press of the handset’s 3-inch touchscreen. Sony Ericsson W995, on a further note, has 8.1 megapixels give you big pictures - store them on the 8GB memory card. Enjoy the speed of Wi-Fi™ networks and share your music via the 3.5 mm jack.
