Today, December 1st, is World AIDS Day.
I decided to take a moment today to reflect on how AIDS and HIV have changed our world, and more importantly, our lives. The world seemed a much more innocent place 25 years ago, and I doubt anyone had the foresight to see that we would lose an average of 1 million people worldwide every year to this horrific disease.
